2. Subject Choice Advice (1.5 Hours)

• Goal: Help you choose subjects that match your skills and career plans.

  • Explain each subject and what it involves.

3. Follow-Up Support (1 Hour)

1. Initial Consultation (1.5 hours + pre-work)

Objective: Develop self-awareness and provide an overview of post-school options.

Activities:

• Self-Awareness: Identify and understand the student's current academic standing, strengths, interests, personal qualities, and career aspirations.
• Goals and Concerns: Discuss the student's goals, concerns, and conduct initial assessments.
• Information on Post-School Options: Provide detailed information on options available after school, including CAO (Central Applications Office), further education, apprenticeships, workplace opportunities, and study abroad programs.
• Format: In-person or online via Zoom.

2. Career Guidance Future Plan (1.5 hours + pre-work)

Objective: Explore post-Leaving Certificate options and develop a personalised action plan.

Activities:

• Career Exploration: Discover and explore various career options and educational pathways available after completing the Leaving Certificate.
• Assessment Review: Discuss findings from career assessments.
• Action Plan: Develop a personalised action plan, equipping students with the skills to research, plan, and set clear, achievable career goals.
• Format: In-person or online via Zoom.

3. Follow-Up and Review Session (1.5 hours +pre work)

Objective: Review progress and refine plans to ensure a successful transition after Leaving Certificate.

Activities:

• Progress Review: Assess research, planning, and goal-setting progress.
• Decision-Making Skills: Learn to make well-informed decisions about future career and educational paths.
• Mindset Development: Foster a positive and proactive mindset to achieve success in the Leaving Certificate and beyond.
• Format: In-person or online via Zoom.

Parental Involvement:

• Parents are encouraged to participate and support their children throughout this journey.
• Parents can contact me with questions or concerns.
• I will email parents the follow-up work that the student is required to complete as part of the process.
